Sarah Jayne is a Melbourne girl at heart but is enjoying the experiences that Sydney has been throwing her way on a social, professional and personal level.
In her spare time when she is not working her part time job, attending and writing events for TB and sleeping, Sarah enjoys , reading, writing (poetry mostly), keeping fit by practicing yoga, walking, and indoor rock climbing on rare occasions.
Sarah has always had an artistic side which started at a young age as she was always the kooky kid wearing a fun costume or out of place outfit. This individuality and unique artistic flair shines though when she volunteers her time on film and television productions under many titles such as Art Director, Production Designer, Set Dresser/ Designer and even props sourcer.
Sarah has been taking on these roles as a side gig since 1996 and she has played an important artistic role on friend’s films, for production companies , television stations and even for student projects and films. Sarah says she contributes to such projects just to keep her creative juices flowing and for the love of Film.
Sarah has a great visual eye, a passion for designing , colour matching and sketching and she loves all things creative. Studying both Interior Design and Decoration and Visual Merchandising after finishing Secondary Collage allowed Sarah to develop her visual and creative skills further. Sarah has learnt a number of different things from completing from both courses and applies her knowlege to the Film and Television work she takes on as well as projects that she takes up at home.
Although Sarah says she has had a lot of almost professional moments in her life she believes she has not had her all time memorable professional moment just yet. She hopes that her first payed gig in the film and television industry where she is recognised for her talents will give her that moment and take her closer to her dream of one day working as a Production Designer in the Film Industry.
